Get An Office Fit For A President

Your office says a lot about you so if you want to give the impression that you’re the best then make sure your office is fit for a president.

Décor

The décor you choose will reflect your business so make sure you choose something that demonstrates your business attitude. If you run a fun and funky creative office then show it with your décor. Choose bright colours, kooky furnishings and plenty of pictures to add interest. When you’re in a creative firm you want your clients to know just how unique and special you are so make sure you show it through your decoration.

If you need to keep things a little more sombre then avoid your décor looking dull by painting or papering an accent wall, you could even choose to pick out your corporate colours. Choose materials that show you mean business like luxurious wood or modern metal.

Lighting

Lighting can really make or break a room and is a quick and easy way to instantly change the atmosphere in a space. Make sure your office has plenty of bright light for those important meetings but include ambient lighting too so you can change the mood of the room. Having lots of lighting options will make your office feel different and give you an incentive to stay in it for longer.

Flooring

Expensive flooring sorts the men from the boys so if you want your clients to get the right first impression of you make sure you don’t skimp on the floor you choose. Hard floors like wood, laminate or even polished concrete can look fantastic but they can be noisy so if your office gets a lot of traffic opt for noise deadening carpet or carpet tiles instead. You can buy bespoke carpet tiles in a host of incredible colours and designs that can make your office floor a real talking point.

Furniture

If you’ve got the space then make sure your office really looks like the presidential suite with big and bold furniture. Opt for a chunky wooden desk and padded leather executive chair that will show everyone who is boss. Make sure you keep your desk free of clutter, otherwise people could think you’re out of control. Keep all your paperwork organised and out of site in filing cabinets or cupboards.
