Garmin has announced a new GPS running wrist watch this month called the Forerunner 10.  It has been specifically designed for a complete running and jogging experience – letting you get more from the miles that you put in. This new GPS enabled wrist watch comes loaded with loads of new features that give you running data and information as you run, as well as afterwards.
 
The Garmin Forerunner 10 watch is creatively designed and comes in three different color shades; black, green and pink.  It’s light and comfortable to wear as it only weighs 43 grams and is also water resistant for up to 50 meters. The new Garmin Forerunner 10 watch is provides runners with accurate information on how fast they are running, how far, and even calories burned.  You can also race against your own personal records over a period of time which is great for motivation.

Clear Display and Easy to Operate
The Garmin FR10 wrist watch comes with a clear display which has a pixel resolution of 55 x 32 pixels.  It’s very easy to operate and with a single press of a button you can customize the settings to suit your preferences without using the instructional manual.  Another reason as to why the Forerunner 10 has caught the attention of many is the rechargeable lithium ion battery which can last for more than 5 hours in training mode and 5 weeks in power save mode. You can charge the battery using a USB cable connected to a PC and at the same time transfer the information to your computer for further analysis and uploading to the web using Garmin Connect – where you can share with family and friends.

The Garmin Forerunner 10 also you edit your personal information where you can fill in the calories you want to burn, distance you want to cover, and other metrics. An additional feature is the Virtual Pacer which lets you compare your current pace with your target pace. New runners will find the new Forerunner 10 to be very effective since it does not confuse them with a lot of data and also the display is in big and bold numbers which are visible from a comfortable distance. A run-walk timer feature lets you program your stint and walking breaks and you get an on screen prompt as a signal to change your pace.

The Forerunner 10 offers a friendly and motivating running experience because after you complete each mile it will beep and flash the time it took you to complete. At the end of your run the screen will display if you achieved a personal record, the distance you have travelled, calories and your pace and this will keep you motivated as you monitor your progress.
