Protecting Your Property Using Security Fencing

There are many different styles of security fencing for a range of properties.  These include homes and commercial sites. Here I will outline some of them as it is important you know which one is the best for you.

Security fencing systems usually comprise of wire mesh or sometime panels with fencing toppings to stop climbing of the fence. These are usually spikes, concertina wire or barbed wire. Temporary Security fencing offers a cost effective temporary solution to protect your premises. Toppings for security fencing are usually wall spikes, barbed wire, concertina wire coil or razor wire.

Let’s have a look at the different types available:-

Palisade Fencing

Palisade fencing is one of the most popular when it comes to securing a site or properties. Although not the most affordable option of fences, its benefits far outweigh the cost. Palisade is manufactured with strength in mind and provides excellent protection against the risks of climbing and the chance of somebody cutting through the fence. If you are looking for long term low maintenance fence, with low risk of petty damage or vandalism then this is the fencing for your property. Palisade items are made to BS 1722 pt 12. and galvanised to BS 729 standards. Many fencing companies also offer a range of powder coating finishes and a ten year guarantee.

Mesh Fencing Options

If you looking for a low cow cost security fencing option then mesh fencing may be for you. They usually come with 2.52M post centres and come in a wide range of colours.

One of the most popular security mesh panels is Twin Guard fencing. The main feature of the twin guard fence is that it is both strong and rigid as it has two horizontal wires which sandwich the verticals. This makes this type of fencing popular amongst commercial sites and schools. This type of fencing also provides excellent visibility.

Security Fencing For Maximum Security

For maximum security fencing options, the 358 mesh system is the norm. If you have ever visited a prison or a MOD site then this is the typing of fencing system they will use.  With available heights of up to 5 metres and an excellent gauge, the 358 mesh provides the best in anti-climb protection. Depending on the level of security required multiple additional features can be added. Because it provides excellent visibility, this type of fencing is a good choice for those with CCTV.

These are a few examples of top high security fencing but it all depends on your budget and your property or premises and the style you want too.  Overall though safety is the aim of the game! But your style and type of property comes into it too.
