There are few things worse, when you’re guarding your girlish figure, than feeling deprived of the finer things in life or feeling as if you’re missing out on all the fun everyone else is having. One of the most difficult times to count calories is when you’re planning a cocktail party of dinner party with cocktails in your own home. You want to be able to enjoy the fun flavours and drinks everyone else is having and still look fabulous in your skinny jeans the next morning.

Here are a few great figure flattering cocktail recipes that let you have your cocktails—and drink them too!

Skinny Margarita
If only all delicious drinks were this simple and fulfilling to slim down. It would truly be a perfect world if that is the case. You’ll still enjoy the flavours your love most about a margarita without all the calories that would normally force you to deprive yourself of this delightful concoction.

  • 2 ounces of clear premium tequila
  • A splash of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • A splash of Grand Marnier (Cointreau or Triple Sec will substitute if needed)

Combine ingredients and serve over ice. Salt rim (if desired) and serve with a lime wedge garnish.

This drink can be served on the rocks or as a frozen margarita. For the frozen version, simply crush the ice in a blender and then add ingredients before pouring into prepared glass.

  • 2.5 ounces of sour mix
  • .75 ounce premium vodka
  • .75 ounce sour apple liqueur

Mix in tin with ice to chill; then strain ice as you pour the sour apple martini into a martini glass. Serve this deliciously sinful, 160-calorie cocktail with an apple garnish to complete the flavour combination.

Grown up Hot Chocolate
Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? This delicious drink won’t have you working off any chocolate induced guilt either as it only offers 132 calories. This is not your childhood version of hot cocoa though. This hot drink packs one serious punch of flavour!

  • One cup of hot water
  • One packet of diet hot cocoa mix
  • 0.75 ounces of Bailey’s Irish Cream

Mix ingredients together and serve in a warmed mug. The mug is easy to warm by filling with hot water and allowing it to warm for a few minutes. Afterwards, dump the water and fill the mug with your chocolate drink and enjoy!
