As the celebration preparations of Queen’s Diamond Jubilee are on the peak in UK, Gatwick Airport will be receiving a street party on this special event. The participants of the British-themed street party are scheduled to travel through this Airport. The authorities of the Airport told the newsmen that it is really a matter of great honor for them to organize a special ceremony on this spectacular event. The British nation is celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen with zeal and zest to pay a rich tribute to the current throne of Queen.
The Airport is expecting special delegations of Scots Guards, Pearly Kings and Queens along with brass band musicians. On this event, a tea party is organized at Gatwick Airport. The airport authorities told the press that the participants of Diamond Celebrations will be served with Victoria sponge and cucumber sandwiches to mark the glory of Queens Throne. Furthermore, the passengers will be allowed to free Union Jack flag in the celebration ceremony.
In addition, the passengers will be joined from local charities to mark the day. Talking to the newsmen, Paul Fitch, the head of Terminal Operations at Gatwick Airport, said that they are very excited to mark the event. He further said, “We are very excited to be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and providing the very best passenger experience for all visitors to Gatwick – a focus only heightened during what will be an historic 2012.”
He also added, “Over the course of the bank holiday weekend (2 – 5 June) we are expecting around 400,000 passengers to travel through Gatwick. Our commitment is to treat every passenger as our guest – which is especially important to us as we’re set to welcome over 110,000 passengers to Gatwick on Friday 1 June – the perfect day for a Jubilee knees up.”
The celebrations of Queen’s Diamond Jubilee have created great hype in the country and that’s why special ceremonies are being held in this regard. In another similar example, some of the 500,000 people are expected to travel to London. On this event, some 13million vehicles are expected to be on the roads.
