Every summer, millions of tourists from all over the globe head to the world’s sunspots for some well-deserved rest and recuperation, and for many of them the only things they need are a good hotel, a secluded beach and a steady stream of cold drinks. The only activities that are likely to be found on their itineraries are sun-bathing, reading books and savouring the occasional local delicacies in the restaurants nearby.
And while this is all very well for the majority of travellers, there are many others who would prefer to do a little exploring while they are on vacation. For them, the trip would not be complete without a few days spent behind the wheel of a hired car, checking out the local markets, historic buildings and entertainment districts. This little voyage of discovery is a great way to get a feel of the real country that is being visited.

It seems such a shame to arrive at the airport on the way home without seeing at least some of them, because they all have their own fascinating stories to tell.
