Planning Your Perfect Wedding Venue

Planning your wedding day can be the most challenging task in your lifetime but the rewards of this are great. A lot of time, money and effort can go in to the dream day and as much help is needed from friends and family. Over the last 5 to 10 years the wedding industry has grown massively with business now offering the complete package from venue, dress to food.

A popular favourite is the more traditional local church wedding followed by the evening reception with all family and friends invited for the full day in a nice local area where you live.
From looking at a list of tasks needed it’s arguable that the most important is the booking of good – venues – both the church and the evening do venue are the most costly but well worth it if chosen right. It is possible to look at a local hotel that may actually fulfil both sides of the day because this may help to cut costs of the day and it also cuts out the fact that people have to travel between venues.

If the hotel has a licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies then they can offer a cost effective service for your special day. The main reasons country hotels provide such a great set of wedding services is their attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and, of course, the beautiful surroundings of the club for your wedding photographs with all of your loved ones.

A well run hotel used to taking wedding bookings can provide all the food for the day guests and this can be tailored to your requirements or you can choose from a more traditional menu. The menu for day guests may be a traditional menu of starter, main course and desert. The starter is could be a selection between pate, prawn salad and the more traditional soups and bread rolls. Main courses are usually roast dinners while desert could be anything from gateau to ice cream.

If you choose, evening guests may be able to enjoy a handmade buffet including all wedding favourites from sandwiches to quiche and cakes. The hotel can also provide live entertainment with a choice of singers and acts covering all types of music or you can pick the more traditional DJ and push back the tables and dance the night away.

If you are looking to make your wedding day special then make sure you take a look at some of the venues in your local area.
